A new heat pump is just what this house needed.

While it wasn’t anywhere near a “this old house,” the 25 year old home in a Platte City suburb had an infrastructure that didn’t always provide reliable comfort for the family that lived there.  The heat pump needed to provide heating and cooling power to the 2,300 square foot structure.

When the home owner moved his travel business to an extra room in the house in 2012, the heating and cooling issues became more noticeable.  His daily life was now affected, and there was some concern for the well being of his two small children and wife.

While deciding what home improvements to invest in, he decided to  replace the old heat pump (before it became a requirement). A new energy efficient model would provide lasting, reliable comfort for the family, plus reduce his overall energy bills.

A month after installation he notices more consistent temperatures and smoother operation. Best of all was the lowered energy bills he received for February as a result of the more efficient unit.

Trane Heat Pumps are designed to Adam-HeatPump.jpg provide powerful comfort year round.

Heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners.

Similar to a refrigerator, heat pumps use electricity to move heat from a cool space to a warm space – making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer.

Because they move heat instead of generating heat, heat pumps can provide up to four times the amount of energy they consume.
