As a service to our customers, Schomburg Heating and Cooling offers regular preventative maintenance checks by our highly qualified technicians. We call this program the Schomburg Heating and Cooling Comfort Club. Call the office to sign up for service, regardless if Schomburg Heating and Cooling installed your furnace or not. 

As a member of our Comfort Club, you will receive two maintenance visits each year. 

COMFORT CLUB CHECKLIST

During the winter heating check, we will conduct a full test of your heating equipment. While our priority is checking the furnace’s safety, we will also check for the following problems: 

• Check for gas leaks.
• If there is any natural gas or liquid propane leaks, you are putting all of your property at risk.

• Test for carbon monoxide leaks.
• Do you have a working carbon monoxide detector in your house? They have a lifetime of between five and seven years.

• Check and change the air filter.
• Your HVAC system must have the necessary airflow for your unit to run smoothly. 

• Adjust the gas burners and controls where needed.
• If you have a gas HVAC unit, it’s essential that your burners are in working order. Your unit may become a fire risk if you fail to maintain the burners.

• Clean and adjust the safety controls.

• Test the thermostat (and adjust, if needed).

• Check and adjust the gas pressure.
• Sometimes furnaces struggle to maintain the temperature you want. This may be due to incorrectly adjusted gas pressure.

• Inspect temperature rise across the furnace.

• Run and review a complete cycle of operation.

Of course, if something is wrong with your heating system, your technician also has plenty of experience with HVAC service and repairs. After consulting with you about the cost of the repairs, they may be able to fix it during the same visit.
